Apparently, $kay has been secretly purchasing Ford GTs and storing them away in her gigantic warehouse. To date, she has acquired 365 to insure that she has a new one to drive for each day of the year but may purchase more. We're on to you, $kay.
Apparently, she's hoarding engines and transmissions as well.
Notice her observation chair and stool.

Is that Fords warehouse, like when they were building them? Or does someone really have hundreds of GTs laying around?

curious too, answer this question plzzz :)

The signs say 'Finished Vehicle Shipping Region X' so it's safe to say this was while building.

Excuse me while I go for a "spirited drive"...Where's that damn GPS!
![]() 05/03/2014 at 12:07 |

Pretty sure that's Ford's warehouse. In the third last picture it says: "Finished vehicle shipping, region 8." If it was a personal collection I doubt the owner would be shipping them anywhere.

*drool* An absolutely beautiful sight! It would be a difficult decision to just pick one, so I will have them all! Thanks for this!

It's the Wixom Assembly Plant back when it was making GTs. It's unfortunately demolished now.

You're welcome. You can tell by the terrible quality of the photos that they're actually mine.

Good choice.
It actually does still have the side stripes but is a top stripe delete.

Yup.

A hairdryer and some goo gone should solve that, unless they paint them on the GTs.

YOU WERE THERE? YOU SAW THEM? YOU TOOK THESE PICS? You must know somebody. I've seen that first pic before (they are great pics, BTW). What a fantastic experience that must have been. Just wow.

Nope they're just applied kind of like stickers.
Here's what a friend's factory complete stripe delete looked like:
After some mods:

Yeah. One of the Ford GT Forum members worked for Ford and was able to get me in to see my Midnight Blue being built. A great experience for sure and I loved talking to some of the workers who were just so excited and proud to be working on such an amazing car.
This was my girl in her infancy:

My favourite look for the GT, just brings out the best lines of the car.

I couldn't agree more. Though I'm a bit biased towards my black one:

NSFW, but this is kinda of my reaction to this...

How awesome for you to have seen your GT there! That's an experience you'll never forget. It has my favorite wheels.

Beautiful car man, bet it looks menacing in the dark rumbling by. Never seen it in black with the stripe delete. More I see them without the stripes the more I think they all look better that way, although I'm partial to the dark blue with white stripes.
![]() 05/03/2014 at 13:21 |

It definitely was. I had loved seeing the car in pictures and in the magazines, but seeing it in person for the first time literally made me weak in the knees. It was that gorgeous.
Concerning the wheels, I definitely preferred the optional ones to the standard ones. I just think they look that little bit better.

Thank you. I definitely love the clean look of the stripe deletes as well.
Are you serious? Are you sure you haven't seen my car collection before because I own a Midnight Blue in addition to the Mark II black one.

I think it was seeing jeremy clarksons gt that got me onto the blue and white. But damn, nice car collection. I recall reading that you owned GTs but didn't know what colours or anything like that. Count me as jealous haha.

Was this on the roof when you were there?
When I first saw the one I was given a ride in, I cried a little......it was a total surprise. I had no idea that my Ford Store was getting one in for a customer.

Yeah Jeremy brought a lot of attention to the car, both good and bad. Here's some of the other cars I currently own or have owned in the past:

Here's a more recent pic of my blue one (it has a few mods now):

Yup. Probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
I can relate. You would think after my 50+ years of car ownership that I wouldn't get emotional about a car but this one is truly something special.

Nice rides and it seems like you put miles on them and enjoy them. Good to see cars in the hands of an enthusiast and not locked away.

Thanks and yeah I do. I have over 40,000 on my blue GT alone.

You heard of the time someone tried to steal something from $kay's secret warehouse?
Neither have I. No one's heard of attempted robberies at $kay's stash (as it's called by the locals). Kinda strange since there's nine-figures worth of inventory there. But still, no thievery.
You know what else isn't at the city housing $kay's stash? A police force. Or a jail. How can there not be cops and jails? It must be anarchy, but it's quite the opposite. No speeding, no shoplifting, no murders or rapes, not even a divorce rate. No one living in the same city as $kay's stash ever so much as steals a stick of deodorant from the Dollar Tree. It doesn't happen. Locals are quick to brag about their 100% safe city to you...so long as you don't bring up the stash. Things get real quiet after that. No one who lives there wants to talk to you about that. Keep bringing it up, and you'll find yourself with few friends real quick.
I knew a guy. Name was wert. He owned a blog called Jalopnik, and wanted a story on the stash. You know, the one no other sane auto blogger would touch. Well, he mustered up the ball bearings to come down to stash city (no one here calls it that, but it's known exclusively for the stash) and wanted to talk to one of the employees. The Ghosts. The people no one ever sees leave and enter the stash. You just know people have to be working there. I mean, look at the pictures. Those cars don't clean and maintain themselves everyday. People have to be coming and going, but don't count on the folks of stash city to tell you anything about that. At least... I couldn't when I was there, but wert...he couldn't let it go. He was dogged. He must have found something. I know because of that call he gave me one night at 1:30 AM...
Me: Wert...what the hell are you...
Wert: Listen. I don't have a lot of time. The Ghosts are after me. I got too close!
Me: W...What?
Wert: Get out of stash city. Stay away from the stash. Don't try to talk to anyone who works there. No matter what, it's not worth it. You don't want to end up like me!
Me:...Wert? Are you...is everything alright?
*
Ford GT pulls up in the background*
Wert: Goddamnit...I'm out of time. I have to go.
Me: What...wait...
Wert:
I have to go! *dial tone*
That was the last I heard of him. Tried calling him repeatedly over several months. Eventually, the number got disconnected. No one ever saw him again. No one even asked questions. Not even his wife and kid. "What are you talking about? The father left me right after Otto was born. I didn't even know his name."
The woman spent 10 years of her life with the man. Now she 'doesn't even know his name.'
Screw it. Took Werts final words of advice, and left stash city behind. I heard Jalopnik is run by a previous resident of the city who fires anyone if they mention the stash. So $he's got the media under her control now as well. Oh well. Not going to dig any deeper than I already have. Dead men tell no tales, and all that.
